[88:1]
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[88:1]
[88:1]
Im Namen Allahs, des Gnädigen, des Barmherzigen.
[88:2]
Has there come to thee the news of the overwhelming
calamity
?
[88:2]
[88:3]
Some
faces on that day will be downcast;
[88:3]
[88:3]
(Manche) Gesichter werden an jenem Tage niedergeschlagen sein;
[88:4]
Toiling, weary.
[88:4]
[88:4]
sich abarbeitend, müde,
[88:5]
They
shall enter a burning Fire;
[88:5]
[88:5]
werden sie in ein schreckliches Feuer eingehen;
[88:6]
And
will be made to drink from a boiling spring;
[88:6]
[88:6]
getränkt sollen sie werden aus einem siedenden Quell;
[88:7]
They will have no food save that of dry, bitter and thorny herbage,
[88:7]
[88:8]
Which will neither fatten, nor satisfy hunger.
[88:8]
[88:9]
And some
faces on that day will be joyful,
[88:9]
[88:10]
Well pleased with their labour,
[88:10]
[88:10]
wohlzufrieden mit ihrer Mühe,
[88:11]
In a lofty Garden,
[88:11]
[88:11]
in einem hohen Garten,
[88:12]
Wherein thou wilt hear no idle talk;
[88:12]
[88:12]
in dem du keine müßige Rede hören wirst;
[88:13]
Therein is a running spring,
[88:13]
[88:13]
in dem eine strömende Quelle ist,
[88:14]
Therein are raised couches,
[88:14]
[88:14]
in dem erhöhte Ruhebetten sind,
[88:15]
And goblets properly placed,
[88:15]
[88:15]
und Becher hingestellt,
[88:16]
And cushions
beautifully
ranged,
[88:16]
[88:16]
und Kissen gereiht,
[88:17]
And carpets
tastefully
spread.
[88:17]
[88:17]
und feine Teppiche ausgebreitet.
[88:18]
Do they not then look at the camel, how it is created?
[88:18]
[88:19]
And at the heaven, how it is raised high?
[88:19]
[88:19]
und den Himmel, wie er erhöht ist,
[88:20]
And at the mountains, how they are set up?
[88:20]
[88:20]
und die Berge, wie sie aufgerichtet sind,
[88:21]
And at the earth, how it is spread out?
[88:21]
[88:21]
und die Erde, wie sie hingebreitet ist?
[88:22]
Admonish, therefore, for thou art but an admonisher;
[88:22]
[88:22]
Ermahne drum; denn du bist nur ein Ermahner;
[88:23]
Thou hast no authority to
compel
them.
[88:23]
[88:23]
du bist nicht Wächter über sie.
[88:24]
But whoever turns away and disbelieves,
[88:24]
[88:25]
Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.
[88:25]
[88:26]
Unto Us surely is their return,
[88:26]
[88:26]
Zu Uns ist ihre Heimkehr,
[88:27]
Then, surely, it is for Us to call them to account.
[88:27]
[88:27]
alsdann obliegt Uns ihre Rechenschaft.
